Kings County Launches Advanced Real Time System

Kings County (CA) – Kings Area Rural Transit has launched its advanced real time system to the public during a public launch event held at the city of Hanford downtown transfer station, attended by local press including TV stations and local dignitaries.

The solution, supplied by Connexionz, includes smartphone applications, electronic displays, automated on-board announcements, real time website and a comprehensive suite of transit management applications supporting the county’s fixed route and demand response services, including a scheduling service and an automated dialing system to call demand response passenger notifying them when their ride is 5 minutes away.

Kings County covers and area in excess of 3,600 square miles and is located in the north west of California.
